This is the second week of my internship and it’s been a bit busier than the previous week, but thankfully I’ve caught up with the pace of work here and I’m really enjoying it!

The highlight of the week was our brand’s AW21 show at Shanghai Fashion Week, we were all very busy and happy, I remember arriving at the show that day and being blown away by the huge red heels in front of me, I really admired our manager and his design style was something I really liked.

On the day of the show, we went to the venue early and did a lot of preparation, rehearsing over and over again just for the last half hour, and with our concerted efforts our show was a success, nothing went wrong and I felt very accomplished and everyone in our team was very happy, it was the result of everyone’s hard work.

It was a great experience for me to learn about the whole process of a show and to learn a lot of practical knowledge and realise that school and society are completely different.

This is the first week of my internship and I am very excited and curious, it is a great pleasure for me to join the workforce for the first time as a student.

It has been a very busy week, probably because the AW21 show at 8ON8 is coming up. This is the first time I have participated in a fashion week in my own country, and I have the impression that every year Shanghai Fashion Week is full of great new designers bringing new work, so I am looking forward to this show and am honoured to be a part of it.

The main task of the week was to prepare for the Shanghai Fashion Week show, a lot of trivial things, it was all simple work but I enjoyed it. It gave me a quick insight into the process of preparing for a show, I was able to quickly familiarise myself with all the looks of the brand and assist the models with their fittings. At the end of the day, I worked with my colleagues to pack and organize all the clothes for the new season. I really enjoyed this busy and fulfilling work because I could learn and grow quickly.

I am really looking forward to the show next week and hope I can do a good job!

Hi, I’m Weina Zheng and I am a Y2 Fashion student at Ravensbourne University London.I got an internship in my last semester of Y2.

I am working as a designer assistant for the designer brand 8ON8, helping the brand designer with development, production and other tasks. My internship is for three months, starting from 29 March to 25 June. I am looking forward to learning a lot about the fashion industry and getting to know it quickly during these three months.
